Dear students,

Based on your Doodle responses, we have identified 2 dates for conducting the block seminar: 27 and 28 February 2024.

Please note that we expect ALL students to be present for ALL the presentations. If you have scheduling conflicts (i.e., exams or doctor's appointment) please email us ASAP: inet-teaching@lists.mpi-inf.mpg.de

In cases of exam conflicts, please mention the course name and the date + time of the exam, e.g: Data Networks 27.02.2024, 11:00-13:00.

In case of doctor's appointments, we do not need the reason for the appointment but we will need a doctor's slip afterwards.

We will send out a detailed plan of the timeslots at a later stage.

As you are working on your peer-review feedback report and final paper, we would like to remind you of our plagiarism policy.

We have zero tolerance for plagiarism in any form. The usage of any generative AI tools like ChatGPT in submissions is strictly prohibited.

We will use plagiarism detection tools to review all submissions. Students caught plagiarising will not only fail this seminar, but we will also refer this matter to university's Examination Office.

The assigned time slots are based on the individual indicated availabilities from the Doodle.

Currently the submission portal is still open for late submissions. As announced in our Kick-off meeting, a late submission will incur a 0.3 penalty off your final grade.

The submission for your seminar report draft is now open. You can find it in the teaching system under submissions. The deadline for this is 08.01.2024 23:59 and we only accept submissions in PDF format.

Additionally, if you have not already done so, please remember to fill in the peer-review meeting Doodle with at least three options from last week's email. You can also find the link on the homepage. The deadline to do so is today at 23:59. If you do not fill in any options before the deadline we will consider you to be available for all of them.

We hope you all enjoyed a relaxing holidays and are making good progress on your seminar report drafts. To schedule the peer-review, we have enabled a "Doodle" for you to enter your preferred time slots for the peer-review (Link). You can also find the link on the homepage. Please indicate _at least_ three time slots at which you are available until the 5th. January 2024, 23:59 CET. If you miss the deadline, we expect you to be available at all time slots. You can also find a page with more information on the peer-review process in the teaching system (here). The pairings for the peer-review will be announced on that page (and in a separate announcement), and the sessions themselves will be held online via Zoom.

Please also be aware that the deadline for the seminar report drafts is on January 8th (you will receive a separate reminder and submission information on that next week).

You will also find the supervisors' contact information on the same page.

You may go ahead and contact your supervisor to set up the initial meeting. Please use the coming week to read through and understand the paper assigned to you. Prepare an outline for the meeting and make sure you can explain the paper assigned to you to your supervisor (in detail, and it would be better if you could prepare a short presentation).

as a comma-separated line accompanied only (i.e., don't add any formal header/greeting or footer/parting parts)

For example, the line "4, 10, 8, 27, 16" means that you prefer paper number 4 over paper number 10, and so on.
It also means that you prefer these five papers over all others.
